What will you do at PSS?

As a member of the Global HR Team , the Head of Europe & Mexico is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic, future-oriented HR strategy across the European and Mexican sites.

 

The role partners with business leaders to achieve organizational objectives through effective people management, organizational development and leadership enhancement, thereby contributing to business growth, organizational agility and the sustainable employability of employees.

In addition, the position includes a part-time strategic support responsibility for the Dendermonde site, with a specific focus on HR budget management, employee and labor relations, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation. 

 

The Head of HR Europe & Mexico is located in Dendermonde, Belgium and is reporting to the CHRO.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership of European HR Management

-Lead, coach, and inspire the HR Management team in Belgium, Germany, Hungary and Mexico.
-Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and talent development within the HR organization.
-Support and guide complex HR cases, including employee relations, reorganizations, and legal matters.

Organizational Development & Change Management

-Lead organizational change initiatives and support leadership teams throughout transformation processes.
-Identify structural and process improvement opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
-Promote an agile, future-oriented organizational culture.

HR Analytics & Reporting

-Analyze HR metrics, including employee turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, and attrition, to support strategic decision-making.
-Prepare HR reports and provide recommendations based on KPIs, trends, and data insights.

In addition to the European responsibilities, the European HR Director will provide part-time strategic support to the local HR Manager in Belgium

-Provide strategic guidance and support on HR budgeting and personnel cost management.
-Support employee relations, including participation in the Works Council, maintaining constructive relationships with employee representatives, and ensuring compliance with collective labor agreements.
-Advise on complex and strategic HR matters, such as employment law issues, and the interpretation and application of collective labor agreements..

What do you bring to PSS?

Education & Experience

-Master's degree, preferably in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Law or Business Administration.
-Minimum of 10 years of relevant HR experience, preferably including several years in a leadership or strategic HR role at a European level.
-Strong knowledge of employment law, change management and organizational development.
-Experience working in an international environment and with employee/labor relations is considered an advantage.

-Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
-Results-oriented, decisive, and able to build strong relationships across the organization.

Languages

-Fluent in Dutch and English (both written and spoken).
-German is considered an advantage.
